Abraxas Capital's Hyperliquid Short Position Near $1 Billion as ETH Purchases Increase

Abraxas Capital's short position on cryptocurrencies held by Hyperliquid is estimated to be nearing $1 billion (approximately KRW 1.34 trillion). BlockBeats reported that Abraxas Capital's short exposure on Hyperliquid approached $100 million, while CryptoBriefing noted the company's total short exposure on Hyperliquid reached between $70 million and $90 million as of September 3.

On September 8, on-chain analytics account Lookonchain revealed that Abraxas Capital purchased 13,000 ETH for $32.39 million (approximately KRW 43.5 billion). At the time, the company's short position on Ethereum held by Hyperliquid totaled 141,180 ETH with a nominal value of $35.327 million (approximately KRW 474.4 billion).
