Agility Robotics Unveils 'Digit 5' Humanoid Robot Capable of Carrying 23kg

Agility Robotics has unveiled its next-generation collaborative humanoid robot, 'Digit 5,' designed to work alongside humans without physical safety fences. The robot's one-time carrying capacity is listed at approximately 23kg. Bloomberg reported that Agility revealed the new robot on May 15.
Digit 5 utilizes artificial intelligence algorithms and additional sensors to recognize people in its surroundings, stopping or sitting down to avoid collisions. It has a battery life of 90 minutes with a 9-minute charging time. Agility has deployed robots at nine customer sites including Schaeffler, GXO Logistics, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, accumulating over 65,000 hours of operational time. Digit-related multi-year contract orders total around $300 million (approximately 40.41 billion KRW). The company plans to go public through a merger with Churchill Capital XI at an enterprise value of $2.5 billion (approximately 336.75 billion KRW).
