Politico reported on the filing, citing a complaint that Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, publicly urged 'industry-wide coordination' and 'setting frontier speed limits' earlier this month. Sam Altman of OpenAI, Elon Musk of SpaceX AI, and Demis Hassabis of Google DeepMind reportedly agreed with these statements.

The plaintiff's attorney, Nick Rowley, stated the lawsuit aims to prevent a scenario where AI escapes human control through private agreements among major technology firms. The complaint argues that such coordination between competitors violates U.S. antitrust laws as an illegal commercial agreement.
