Anchorage Digital Bank Supports Institutional Custody for Physical Uranium Token

Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. (Anchorage Digital Bank N.A.) has started supporting institutional custody for the xU3O8 token representing physical uranium, as announced on September 16. The bank stated that institutional clients can now hold assets issued on the Etherlink layer-2 network, built on Tezos, in segregated accounts at a federally chartered bank. xU3O8 represents uranium stored at Cameco facilities in Canada. According to its official site, xU3O8 tokenizes physical uranium holdings and currently supports book-entry custody at Cameco. CoinTelegraph reported that xU3O8's market capitalization is slightly above $9 million (approximately 12.3 billion KRW). Anchorage Digital also confirmed that the support includes wrapped XTZ (WXTZ), stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM, and wrapped Ether (WETH) alongside xU3O8.
