Anchorize Adds Support for Etherlink's 7 Assets Including xU3O8

Anchorize Digital Bank has added Etherlink and its seven network-based assets as institutional custody offerings. The inclusion features xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium ownership. CoinTelegraph reported that Anchorize began offering custody support for Etherlink and its network assets on April 16.

Anchorize, introduced as the first federally licensed cryptocurrency bank in the U.S., now supports seven assets: xU3O8, WXTZ (Wrapped Tezos), stXTZ (Liquidity Staking Token), USDT, USDC, USDSM, and WETH (Wrapped Ether). Institutional clients can now store these assets in segregated accounts within Anchorize's platform.

Etherlink is a Layer 2 network built on Tezos for payments, featuring EVM compatibility to leverage Ethereum ecosystem tools. It operates as a smart rollup, processing transactions off-chain before settling on the base blockchain. xU3O8 enables exposure to uranium assets without direct physical handling; token holders do not acquire actual uranium but gain rights through the token.

According to CoinMarketCap data, xU3O8's market capitalization exceeded $9 million (approximately 12.2 billion KRW at current exchange rates). Anchorize noted that traditional uranium investment requires specialized intermediaries, lengthy payment periods, and high minimum investments, whereas tokenized assets streamline transactions from weeks to minutes.

Tokenization represents ownership rights of physical assets as digital tokens on blockchain. However, the scope of rights and claim mechanisms vary by issuance structure. While Anchorize is not the first custodian for Etherlink assets—Hong Kong-based HexTrust announced similar support in August 2025—the move reflects institutional adoption of tokenized commodities.

Anchorize previously supported Robinhood Chain assets, expanding its institutional digital asset infrastructure. This announcement broadens custody to include a specific chain and tokenized commodity, though actual usage metrics remain undisclosed.
