Reuters cited three sources on Thursday, reporting that Anthropic is evaluating whether to unveil its new AI model in response to competitive pressure from OpenAI's latest offering. The sources added that safety considerations are a key factor in Anthropic's decision-making process regarding the model's release.

Reuters also referenced two additional sources indicating that Anthropic is weighing investment in new model development against profitability improvements, with the possibility of pushing its IPO to after the November midterms. Earlier reports had suggested the IPO marketing could begin as early as mid-October.
