Antropic's privacy policy has undergone 13 revisions over the past three years, according to claims made by a China Central Television (CCTV) affiliated account, Weiyuantan Tian. The account cited reports from Odeally that highlighted the frequent changes to Antropic's terms of service and alleged that global user data is provided to U.S. intelligence agencies. However, no specific contracts or government documents supporting these claims have been verified.

Antropic clarified in its privacy notice that it processes requests from government and law enforcement agencies in accordance with relevant laws. The company stated that it does not sell user data and that consumer account conversations may be used to improve AI models if users consent, though certain exceptions apply for security reviews.
