Aptos Launches Confidential APT Feature for Encrypted Balance and Transfer Amounts

Aptos has introduced an optional feature called 'Confidential APT' that allows users to encrypt their account balances and transfer amounts while still enabling standard public verification of transactions. The Aptos Foundation announced the mainnet deployment of Confidential APT on its official X account on 18th.

With this feature, wallet addresses of senders and recipients remain visible on the blockchain as usual, but validators verify transaction validity using zero-knowledge proofs without seeing specific balance or transfer amounts. The Confidential APT functionality is optional for all users and not mandatory.
