Aramco Cancels or Delays European Oil Cargo Amid East-West Pipeline Shutdown

Saudi Aramco has reportedly canceled or delayed some European-bound oil cargoes following the shutdown of the East-West pipeline after an attack on September 10. Oilprice reported that the pipeline connecting Yanbu port to the eastern oil fields was halted due to the attack, leading to cancellations and postponements of European oil shipments. The Saudi Energy Ministry stated that the East-West pipeline has been shut down multiple times for safety inspections following repeated attacks.
Reuters noted that the East-West pipeline is a 1,200 km transportation route linking eastern oil fields with Yanbu port on the Red Sea coast, moving 4-5 million barrels of oil daily during operations.
