Arbitrage Capital Buys 13,700 ETH as Hyperliquid Short Position Surpasses $980 Million

Arbitrage Capital has purchased an additional 13,700 Ethereum (ETH) tokens, with its Hyperliquid short position now surpassing $980 million (approximately 1.3 trillion KRW). The additional purchase amounts to roughly $36.4 million (about 49 billion KRW). BlockBeats reported via Lookonchain monitoring that Arbitrage Capital's Hyperliquid short position has exceeded $980 million, with the Ethereum short position totaling 168,500 tokens and a nominal value of approximately $42.37 million (around 570.7 billion KRW). Previously, Arbitrage Capital had bought spot Ethereum while maintaining large-scale short positions on Hyperliquid. Lookonchain reported that on August 8, the firm purchased 13,000 ETH to partially hedge its 141,180 ETH short position, though specific details of the transaction and overall investment strategy remain undisclosed.
