Arco and EX.IO Forge Partnership to Expand Tokenized RWA Distribution in Asia

Arco, a real-world asset (RWA) platform, has partnered with Hong Kong-based virtual asset exchange EX.IO to expand the distribution of tokenized RWA products in Asia, beginning with South Korea.

The two companies signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) on May 15 to advance institutional adoption and regional expansion of tokenized RWA. They have designated South Korea as their first collaboration region, planning to connect EX.IO's portfolio of tokenized RWA products with Arco's multi-chain distribution infrastructure.

EX.IO currently handles over 30 tokenized RWA products on its platform, including gold, silver, stocks, and bonds. Under the agreement, EX.IO will provide its tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds, MMFs, private credit, and bond-type products to Arco for distribution across multiple blockchain networks and Asian institutional channels, subject to regulatory approvals.

Arco will facilitate connecting these products with on-chain capital, protocol treasuries, and DeFi liquidity within the scope of product and investor eligibility requirements. The initial focus will be on South Korea, where Arco aims to leverage its domestic institutional network to support EX.IO's institutional sales and identify demand for tokenized financial products among local financial institutions.

Arco CEO Mike Mu stated that combining EX.IO's product portfolio with Arco's on-chain distribution infrastructure and Korean institutional network will create tangible distribution opportunities in South Korea, which will then be expanded across Asia. EX.IO Co-Founder and CEO Chen Wu noted that tokenization has moved beyond conceptual validation to becoming a core market infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of compliant channels for distributing high-quality real-world assets on-chain.
