AWS Cloud Regions in Bahrain and UAE Face Delayed Recovery Amid Middle East Conflict

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is experiencing delays in restoring cloud regions in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates following damage to data center facilities amid the Middle East conflict. The disruption has caused service access issues for customers. In an official notice, AWS stated that the Bahrain region was suspended due to the conflict's impact and is offering support to migrate affected applications to other AWS regions. Customers are being urged to continue moving workloads from impacted areas to alternative locations.
AWS clarified in its status update that two data centers in the UAE were directly hit, while the Bahrain facility sustained damage after a drone fell nearby. The company also indicated that full recovery for both the UAE and Bahrain regions could take several months.
