Balancer Community Proposes Financial Distribution as Operations Wind Down

The Balancer community has proposed gradually ceasing operations and distributing a minimum of $9 million (approximately 12.1 billion won) in treasury funds to BAL token holders. In a governance forum post on October 14, the community stated that the current treasury value is at least $9 million based on token price. The proposal includes burning BAL tokens and distributing the treasury proportionally. Balancer will transition pools to withdrawal-only starting October 30, 2026, with contributor notifications running until October 31. The first distribution will begin in late May 2027, followed by a second distribution and final residual asset allocation.
