Base's tokenized stocks spot decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume recently surpassed $1 billion (approximately KRW 1.387 trillion) over the past 30 days, a rise of 830.5% compared to the previous 30-day period, according to Token Terminal data.

Tokenized stocks represent financial assets tied to equities in blockchain-based token form. Spot DEX trading volume refers to the cumulative value of tokenized stock transactions executed on decentralized exchanges during a given period.

The volume has concentrated on specific platforms, with Aerodrome reporting $852.7 million (approximately KRW 1.1827 trillion) in 30-day trading volume, representing an 830.5% increase from the prior 30 days. However, this figure reflects changes in transaction value, not price appreciation or investment returns.

Tokenized stock trading allows users to trade financial assets linked to traditional markets through smart contracts and liquidity pools on decentralized exchanges instead of centralized intermediaries. The market features varying terms for underlying assets, including issuance, collateralization, and redemption conditions per product. Therefore, increased volume alone does not indicate expanded rights equivalent to holding actual stocks.

Base's tokenized stock trading growth demonstrates rising demand for on-chain financial products within a specific network and DEX.
