Bernstein: Regulatory Focus Shifts to SEC and CFTC After Clarity Act Failure

Global investment bank Bernstein has forecast that the focus of US cryptocurrency regulation will shift from congressional legislation to rulemaking by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) after the Clarity Act failed to pass in the Senate. According to Bloomberg, Bernstein noted that future regulatory adjustments are expected for tokenization, perpetual futures markets, and prediction markets, with platforms like Coinbase likely able to continue offering rewards for idle stablecoin balances.
