Binance Commodity Perpetuals Trading Continues 24/7 Over Weekends

Binance's commodity perpetual futures were reported to halt weekend trading, but the official notice states the product remains active throughout weekends. CryptoBriefing reported Binance had restricted commodity-based TradFi perpetual futures to weekdays, however Binance's official FAQ specifies that a new pricing methodology will apply to weekend and holiday price indices for these products starting May 9, 2026.

The new system calculates price indices based on the average of Impact Bid and Impact Ask derived from order books, then smooths the data using an Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) approach. Binance has not announced any discontinuation of weekend trading for commodity-based TradFi perpetual futures.
