Binance Ends ONEUSDT Price Protection, Switches to Standard Method

Binance has ended its latest price protection period (LPP) for the ONEUSDT perpetual contract. The reference price will switch to a standard calculation method for up to three hours based on price volatility and stable index pricing. Binance Futures announced the termination of LPP for the Harmony (ONE)-based ONEUSDT perpetual contract at 11 PM KST on November 17, as reported by Foresight News. During the transition, Binance will smooth reference prices to minimize sudden price movements. LPP is a mechanism that uses recent trade prices to reduce immediate reflection of sharp price fluctuations in the reference price, which is used for liquidations and margin calculations in perpetual contracts. Trading functions remain active during the switch, with existing orders and positions unaffected. This move follows previous LPP implementation after a Harmony security incident caused discrepancies in ONE spot prices.
