Binance Continues MiCA Licensing Push in Europe Amid ECB Chief Speculation

Binance has stated it will continue pursuing European Union (EU) crypto regulatory compliance under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, according to CoinTelegraph. Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that ECB President Christine Lagarde had reportedly requested Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis not approve Binance's MiCA application.
Binance responded to the report by stating it would not comment on speculative coverage and emphasized its commitment to long-term compliance with European regulations. The company previously withdrew its MiCA application in Greece in June and announced plans to pursue licensing through other EU member states instead.
