Bitcoin Breaks $80,000 as 24-Hour Liquidation Hits $470 Million

Bitcoin (BTC) has broken through $80,000 while Ethereum (ETH) rose to $2,500, according to reports. The total liquidation volume across the virtual asset market reached $470 million (approximately KRW 649.1 billion) within 24 hours. BlockTempo reported that strong buying pressure emerged ahead of the weekend as the U.S. Federal Reserve concluded its interest rate hike cycle.

Bitcoin rose more than 5%, according to BlockTempo, which also noted significant liquidations across the broader virtual asset market during the same period without specifying long or short position breakdowns.
