Bitcoin Dollar-Margin Long Positions Show Strong Increase, Accounts See Bitcoin and Ethereum Surge

According to CoinGlass data as of January 16 at 9:15 AM, the long position share for Bitcoin USDT collateral stood at 70.60%, up 3.12 percentage points from the previous day. This was the most significant change among positions and dollar-margin markets. Solana's long position share rose to 69.36% (+1.92 percentage points), while Ethereum increased to 56.91% (+1.36 percentage points).
USDT collateral long positions saw Bitcoin at 70.55%, Ethereum at 73.86%, and Solana at 77.22%, with minimal changes from the previous day. Among account-based metrics, Bitcoin's long position share rose to 66.42% (+11 percentage points), while Ethereum reached 67.35% (+11 percentage points). Solana increased to 72.50% (+5.46 percentage points), and XRP rose to 74.52% (+3.39 percentage points).
Account-based long positions for Dogecoin fell by 1.04 percentage points to 74.33%, while the overall market remained relatively stable. Among coin collateral accounts, Dogecoin saw a slight increase of 0.13 percentage points to 87.12%, with XRP at 82.47% (-0.10 percentage points). Bitcoin stood at 70.57%, Ethereum at 74.85%, and Solana at 78.66%, showing minimal changes from the previous day.
