Bitcoin Recovers to $81K as $260M Short Positions Liquidated

Bitcoin (BTC) has recovered above the $81,000 mark, while Ethereum (ETH) surpassed the $2,600 level. During a 6% price surge over 24 hours, approximately $260 million in Bitcoin futures short positions were liquidated as volatility increased, leading to mass unwinding of sell-side positions. According to CoinGlass data as of 10 a.m. on the 19th, Bitcoin was trading around $81,000 with a 24-hour rise of about 6%.
