Bitcoin Whale Builds 30x Long Position Ahead of Clarity Bill Vote

An anonymous whale address has built a 30x leveraged long position in 248.56 Bitcoin (BTC) ahead of the U.S. Senate's procedural vote on the Clarity Act, with a position value of approximately $18.96 million (about 25.5 billion KRW). Blockbit reported that the anonymous address, starting with 0x9d, initially took a small short position in the morning of May 15 before closing it and switching to a long position later the same day. The position is subject to 30x leverage. Blockbit also noted that the U.S. Senate plans to vote on the cloture motion for H.R.3633 'Digital Asset Market Clarity Act' at 2:15 PM EDT (May 16, 3:15 AM KST) to begin formal deliberation of the bill. A majority of 60 votes is required for passage, though this vote only determines if full debate can proceed; further discussion and additional votes will be needed before final approval or enactment.

The whale's position is structured to profit from rising Bitcoin prices but carries significant risk of loss or liquidation should the price move against it. Blockbit did not report on the liquidation price or any subsequent changes to the position. This follows a previous report of another whale building a 900 BTC long position with 40x leverage.
