Bitfupa's August Bitcoin Production Rises 55.4% to 174 BTC

Bitfupa ($FUFU) recorded a Bitcoin (BTC) production volume of 174 BTC for August, marking a 55.4% increase from July’s 112 BTC. In its SEC filing submitted on August 3, the company disclosed that August’s output consisted of 88 BTC from self-mining and 86 BTC from cloud mining.
The un-audited figures show an average daily production rate rose from 3.6 BTC in July to 5.6 BTC in August. Self-mining output increased by 16 BTC, from 72 BTC to 88 BTC, while cloud mining output surged by 46 BTC, rising from 40 BTC to 86 BTC. Total managed hash rate grew by 45.1%, reaching 20.6 EH/s in August from 14.2 EH/s in July.
Self-owned hash rate rose slightly from 3.6 EH/s to 3.8 EH/s, while third-party provider and hosting client-related hash rates expanded from 10.6 EH/s to 16.8 EH/s. The growth in cloud mining output (46 BTC) exceeded that of self-mining (16 BTC). Total managed hash rate includes both self-owned equipment and third-party or hosted client volumes, so it cannot be solely attributed to Bitfupa’s self-mining capacity.
Average mining rig efficiency declined slightly from 18.0 J/TH in July to 16.7 J/TH in August. Lower J/TH values indicate higher power efficiency. Total managed power capacity rose by 34.9%, reaching 344 MW from 255 MW over the same period.
Bitfupa explained that additional hash rate secured in June and July became operational, pushing total managed hash rate above 20 EH/s. CEO Leo Lu stated in the SEC filing that this contributed to a recovery in Bitcoin production and cloud mining operations. He also noted efficiency improvements reached 16.7 J/TH by August.
Bitfupa’s BTC holdings as of August 31 totaled 1,373 BTC, up 59 BTC from July’s 1,314 BTC. The company clarified that this figure includes 44 BTC pledged as collateral for loans and equipment purchases, but excludes Bitcoin produced by cloud mining clients.
Production volume and holdings are measured differently, so direct comparison is not applicable. EH/s measures mining hardware performance, while J/TH reflects power efficiency per unit of computation—two distinct operational metrics. The company’s recent self-mining growth trend was consistent with prior reports, but August saw a larger increase in cloud mining output compared to self-mining.
