Bottomline Launches Global Pay Connect for Bank Payment Integration with Blockchain

Bottomline has launched Global Pay Connect, a platform designed to allow over 600 bank customers to access blockchain payment networks without disrupting their existing payment infrastructure. The platform integrates Chainlink's cross-chain interoperability protocol CCIP and Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE). According to Chainlink's post on July 17, CCIP connects Bottomline's payment infrastructure to blockchain networks through a single-network-neutral connection method, while CRE adjusts on-chain and off-chain payment flows.

Financial institutions can maintain their existing payment networks and ISO 20022 messaging standards while accessing blockchain-based payment systems. However, the 600+ banks refer to Bottomline's customer base, not necessarily the actual banks using the platform or their operational schedules, which remain unconfirmed separately.
