Broadridge Opens Digital Asset Platform for U.S. Asset Management Market

Broadridge ($BR) has opened its digital asset platform to the U.S. asset management market. Brokers, registered investment advisors, and asset management institutions can now manage virtual assets, tokenized securities, and traditional investment products within a single operating environment. The platform directly integrates with existing ledger records, regulatory reporting, tax systems, and proxy voting systems of institutions. Designed to allow firms to leverage their current financial infrastructure when offering digital asset products, the key feature is seamless integration with established systems. Broadridge announced on April 14 that the platform is now operational for the U.S. asset management market.

The initial ecosystem includes custodian and settlement service provider Anchorage Digital and Galaxy Digital ($GLXY). The platform supports both advisor-led and self-directed investment models. In the advisor-led model, investment advisors manage asset allocation and product access for clients; in the self-directed model, customers make their own trading and management decisions. Management covers not only cryptocurrencies but also tokenized securities, which represent ownership rights of traditional financial assets like stocks or funds on a blockchain-based token.

The platform focuses on handling both asset classes within the same operational framework as traditional investments. Broadridge has expanded features supporting voting rights and disclosure access for tokenized security holders, building on previous coverage about its support for proxy voting procedures. This new platform launch extends digital asset operations to include custody, settlement, reporting, tax services, and post-trade management functions like voting and disclosures.
