Centrifuge Tokenized Assets deJTRSY and deJAAA Deployed on OKX X Layer

Centrifuge's tokenized assets deJTRSY and deJAAA have been deployed on OKX's Ethereum layer-2 X Layer. This deployment enables the use of U.S. short-term Treasury bonds and AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) within wallets and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Centrifuge announced in its Q2 2026 retrospective that both assets were deployed alongside the X Layer launch, with developer documentation confirming X Layer as a supported network for the Centrifuge protocol.
deJTRSY provides tokenized exposure to the JTRSY short-term U.S. Treasury fund, while deJAAA is linked to an AAA-rated CLO strategy. CLOs are financial products that bundle multiple corporate loans into liquid assets. Both assets connect traditional finance exposures to blockchain-based tokens, focusing on distribution and utilization rather than new issuance.
Centrifuge confirmed support for deJAAA and deJTRSY on X Layer in an August 27 announcement, designed to integrate with Para-based wallets and fintech applications. Earlier integrations of Centrifuge's tokenized physical assets with Para wallets also highlighted the connection between X Layer and Para wallets. X Layer is OKX's EVM-compatible layer-2 network, allowing Ethereum-based applications to connect with minimal modifications.
OKX introduced X Layer as an on-chain financial infrastructure linking spot and derivative markets with tokenized assets in its Exchange OS announcement. Exchange OS allows developers and institutions to configure market structures, asset selection, trading methods, and oracle systems. Centrifuge continues to expand distribution channels by connecting assets across multiple chains, wallets, and DeFi applications rather than consolidating them on a single network.
In addition to X Layer, Centrifuge's Q2 2026 report noted expanded deployment of deRWA assets on Monad and Stellar. Earlier, Centrifuge announced that deJTRSY and deJAAA would be available as transferable tokens on Monad. Adding new networks serves to broaden utilization paths for the same underlying assets.
Tokenization extends beyond Treasury bonds; previous coverage highlighted a tokenized AAA-rated CLO fund valued at $689.8 million. However, X Layer deployment alone does not necessarily indicate increased market liquidity, as CoinGecko data shows limited trading volume and liquidity for deJTRSY on X Layer contracts. Availability may vary by country due to regulatory requirements and platform support. Redemption structures of underlying assets and smart contract risks will influence actual adoption.
This case demonstrates a shift in tokenized physical asset development from merely moving assets onto the blockchain to connecting them with wallets, trading, and lending protocols. However, broader distribution effects require verification through actual trading volume and liquidity changes.
