Circle's Arc Mainnet Launched with USDC-Powered Transactions

Circle's Arc, a USDC-based Layer-1 blockchain, went live with its public mainnet on the 16th. Unlike typical blockchains that use separate volatile gas tokens, Arc allows users to pay transaction fees directly in USDC. In an official announcement, Circle described Arc as an open-source Layer-1 blockchain designed for financial markets and real-time fund movement. The Arc blog confirmed the mainnet launch and its use of USDC as native gas.
