Clarity Act Not Needed for Crypto Industry to Keep Moving Forward

The U.S. Clarity Act advancing to the next stage in Congress with sufficient support is positive for the crypto industry, but NovaDus Wells Management CEO Nate Geraci emphasized that its passage does not determine the sector's future. He noted that under the Donald Trump administration, the SEC and CFTC are likely to leverage existing authority to back crypto growth regardless of whether the bill passes. Given how rapidly industry changes are occurring, by the time lawmakers recognize financial system shifts have already happened, it may be too late to reverse them. While Clarity Act passage could boost market confidence in stable policy and accelerate innovation, Geraci stressed that crypto's future is not solely dependent on this legislation.
