Clarity Act Push Continues as 7 Democratic Senators Reaffirm Support

Seven Democratic U.S. Senators have reaffirmed their efforts to advance the Clarity Act, a legislative proposal aimed at restructuring the virtual asset markets. According to The BlockBeats, on April 16th, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Angela Booker, Cory Booker, Catherine Cortez Masto, Ruben Gallego, Mark Warner, and Raphael Warnock issued a joint statement saying "This week was a setback but the end of important work is not yet in sight," pledging to push for bipartisan support to pass the bill. The statement came after the Senate voted 49-50 on April 15th to reject procedural steps for the Clarity Act, which required 60 votes for passage. All seven Democratic senators voted against the procedural motion.
