Claude Integrates Co-Work Feature into Default Chat Environment

Anthropic is integrating Claude's standalone co-work mode into the default conversation environment. Users no longer need to select a separate mode to interact with Claude. In its official support documentation released on the 17th, Anthropic stated that Claude can now respond to simple questions and handle complex tasks such as web searches, file reading, code execution, report writing, spreadsheets, and presentations based on user requests.

Features previously available only in co-work mode are now accessible across all conversations in the new environment. Anthropic will gradually apply this new environment to Pro and Max subscription tiers for web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Enterprise plan users will receive at least 30 days' notice before any changes, while team plan details remain unspecified in official documentation.
