Coinbase Proposes Unlimited Futures Tied to Individual Stocks in the U.S.

Coinbase ($COIN) is advancing plans to launch unlimited futures products tied to individual listed companies in the United States. The company's derivatives division filed relevant registration documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 1. Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad said on X that he expects a regulated trading pathway for American investors through these stock-linked futures. Shirzad also noted that approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will be required for product launch.
Coinbase has been offering unlimited futures linked to individual stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Amazon in markets outside the U.S. since March. Unlimited futures are derivative products that allow investment based on price fluctuations of underlying assets without a fixed maturity date.
