Column Integrates USDC and USDT into Core Banking for Fintechs

U.S. bank Column has integrated USDC and USDT stablecoins into its core banking system, allowing fintech companies to convert these tokens to fiat currency instantly 24/7. The bank announced the development on its official blog on the 16th, stating that it now maintains both stablecoin addresses and bank accounts in the same ledger. Column also explained that it connects stablecoins with major blockchains like Solana and Ethereum, as well as traditional payment networks including SWIFT, RTP, and checks.
Column revealed it developed this product alongside fintech companies Slash and Brex. The bank added that its system supports stablecoin-based card payments along with Visa and Mastercard.
