Community Says 0G Extended Token Lockup Without Investor Consent

According to multiple cryptocurrency communities, Layer-1 blockchain Zero (0G) has extended the lock-up period for tokens allocated to early investors by one year without seeking their consent, beyond the original plan. Cryptocurrency investor Kirby Ong shared an email received from 0G, stating, 'I think 0G is finally heading toward becoming truly a "0".' The email indicates that the unlock start date for initial investor allocations has been moved to September 22, 2027, with monthly unlocks of 1/24 over the following 24 months. However, 0G has not yet issued an official announcement confirming this change. Lowna, operator of the cryptocurrency-focused Telegram channel 'Low Na's Investment Room,' noted that '0G appears to have extended the lock-up period for investors' holdings by one year without consulting most individual investors, only securing agreement from some VCs. This unilateral action has led to investor dissatisfaction.'
