Cruise Raises $3.9 Billion in Funding, Valued at $30.9 Billion

AI infrastructure startup Cruise has raised a $390 million Series F funding round, valuing the company at $3.09 billion, according to reports.

The Wall Street Journal reported on July 17 that the funding round was led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and Mubadala Investment, with participation from Founders Fund, TPG, and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).

Founded in 2018, Cruise initially provided services to cryptocurrency mining companies before transitioning to AI computing infrastructure. The company has built a large-scale AI data center over two years in Abilene, Texas, and provides computing infrastructure to OpenAI and Microsoft, according to the report.
