Within the past 24 hours, $671.29 million (approximately KRW 904.3 billion) worth of leveraged positions were liquidated in the cryptocurrency market, according to CoinGlass. Long position liquidations accounted for 72.88% of the total, or 2.7 times more than short positions. The top 20 assets by 24-hour liquidation volume totaled $671.29 million (approximately KRW 904.3 billion) as of 4:55 a.m. KST on September 16, 2026.
Long liquidations amounted to $489.27 million (approximately KRW 659.1 billion), while short liquidations totaled $182.02 million (approximately KRW 245.2 billion). Over the same period, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 3.98% to $75,906 (approximately KRW 10.2 million), and Ethereum (ETH) dropped 5.25% to $2,408 (approximately KRW 324.4 million). Among major assets, Solana (SOL) declined by 5.35%, XRP by 10.87%, Hyperliquid (HYPE) by 5.40%, and ZEC by 6.15%.
Ethereum (ETH) was the top asset for liquidations, with $301.94 million (approximately KRW 406.7 billion), of which long liquidations made up 67%. Bitcoin (BTC) followed at $247.28 million (approximately KRW 333.1 billion), with long positions representing 77% of the total. XRP saw $31.94 million (approximately KRW 43.0 billion) in liquidations, SOL $28.84 million (approximately KRW 38.8 billion), ZEC $16.77 million (approximately KRW 22.6 billion), Dogecoin (DOGE) $8.855 million (approximately KRW 119.3 million), Hyperliquid (HYPE) $6.4646 million (approximately KRW 87.4 million), and Sandisk (SNDK) $4.56171 million (approximately KRW 61.5 billion).
