Cryptocurrency Market Sees $161.77 Million in Leverage Positions Liquidated Over 24 Hours

Over the past 24 hours, $161.77 million (approximately KRW 224.3 billion) in leveraged positions were liquidated across the cryptocurrency market. Short position liquidations accounted for 72.92% of the total, nearly double that of long positions. According to CoinGlass data as of 04:56 AM KST on September 20, 2026, the top 20 cryptocurrencies saw a combined $161.77 million in liquidations over the past day.

Long position liquidations totaled $43.80 million (approximately KRW 60.75 billion), while short positions amounted to $117.97 million (approximately KRW 163.62 billion). Over the same period, Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.10% to $81,350 (approximately KRW 112.82 million), and Ethereum (ETH) increased by 0.01% to $2,636 (approximately KRW 365.52 million). Among major assets, Solana (SOL) fell 2.33%, Hyperliquid (HYPE) rose 0.29%, XRP gained 2.12%, and Zcash (ZEC) increased by 0.44%.

The top liquidated cryptocurrencies included Bitcoin (BTC), with $50.13 million in liquidations ($41.33 million short), followed by Ethereum (ETH) at $42.19 million (76% short), Zcash (ZEC) at $25.97 million (72% short), XRP at $8.09 million (75% short), Solana (SOL) at $7.22 million (67% long), NEAR at $5.76 million (72% long), Hyperliquid (HYPE) at $4.27 million (80% short), and ENA at $3.53 million (72% short).
