Over the past 24 hours, $271.76 million (approximately KRW 372.2 billion) in leveraged positions were liquidated across the cryptocurrency market, according to CoinGlass. Short position liquidations accounted for 62.45% of the total, or 1.7 times more than long positions.
As of 3:55 PM KST on September 17, 2026, the top 20 assets by 24-hour liquidation volume totaled $271.76 million (approximately KRW 372.2 billion), with long positions liquidated at $102.04 million (KRW 139.8 billion) and short positions at $169.71 million (KRW 232.5 billion).
Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.76% to $76,450 (approximately KRW 14.72 million), while Ethereum (ETH) increased 1.79% to $2,440 (KRW 3.34 million). Among major assets, Solana (SOL) rose 2.77%, Zcash (ZEC) surged 15.10%, Hyperliquid (HYPE) climbed 2.50%, and XRP advanced 0.59%.
Ethereum (ETH) was the top asset by liquidation volume, with $87.26 million (KRW 119.5 billion) liquidated—$45.65 million of which were short positions. Bitcoin (BTC) followed at $87.10 million (KRW 119.3 billion), with 64% being short positions. Zcash (ZEC) saw $56.23 million (KRW 77.0 billion) liquidated, 89% of which were short positions. XRP had $10.12 million (KRW 13.9 million) in long liquidations, while Solana (SOL) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) saw significant short liquidations at 57% and 61%, respectively.
