Cryptocurrency Market Sees $546.79 Million in Leverage Positions Liquidated in 24 Hours

Over the past 24 hours, $546.79 million (approximately KRW 743.8 billion) in leveraged positions were liquidated across the cryptocurrency market, according to CoinGlass. Long position liquidations accounted for 84.39% of the total, nearly five and a half times more than short position liquidations.

As of 3:55 PM KST on September 16, 2026, the top 20 cryptocurrencies by 24-hour liquidation volume totaled $546.79 million (approximately KRW 743.8 billion), with long positions amounting to $461.42 million (KRW 627.7 billion) and short positions totaling $85.37 million (KRW 116.1 billion).

Bitcoin (BTC) closed at $75,873 (approximately KRW 13.21 million), down 1.76% over the past day, while Ethereum (ETH) traded at $2,397 (KRW 3.26 million), declining 3.43%. Among major assets, Solana (SOL) fell 3.79%, XRP dropped 7.55%, Hyperliquid (HYPE) decreased by 2.42%, and Zcash (ZEC) rose 3.19%.

Bitcoin (BTC) was the top liquidated asset with $222.27 million (KRW 302.3 billion), of which long positions accounted for $184.99 million. Other notable assets included Ethereum (ETH) at $211.67 million, XRP at $34.07 million, Solana (SOL) at $23.27 million, Zcash (ZEC) at $15.34 million, Dogecoin (DOGE) at $8.07 million, Hyperliquid (HYPE) at $5.93 million, and Sandisk (SNDK) at $3.99 million.
