Daeshin Securities Warns of Regulatory Delays Impacting Naver's Digital Asset Plans

Daeshin Securities warned on the 17th that delays in regulatory reform for digital assets both in the U.S. and domestically could heighten uncertainty regarding the timing of Naver's D'Namu corporate merger and stablecoin business rollout. According to News1, Daeshin Securities believes the stalled progress of the U.S. 'Clarity Act' legislation could also burden domestic digital asset institutionalization efforts. Researcher Jeong Haechang noted that delays in U.S. legislative processes may weaken external pressure for accelerated lawmaking concerning key issues such as issuer and exchange ownership regulations, potentially causing further postponement of Naver Financial's merger with D'Namu. However, the firm pointed out that passage of a digital asset basic law is not explicitly required as a prerequisite for the corporate merger.
