DAT Firms Show Mixed Bitcoin Holdings as 63 Out of 90 Report Losses

Among digital asset treasury (DAT) firms that have purchased Bitcoin as a financial asset, more than half hold the cryptocurrency at prices lower than their acquisition cost. The profitability varies significantly depending on when companies acquired Bitcoin.

As of September 15 at 7:39 PM KST, according to TokenPost PRO, 174 listed companies hold a total of 129,4037 BTC, with 90 firms disclosing their average purchase price (81.4% by holdings). Of these, 63 firms are trading below their average cost at the current price of $76,507 per Bitcoin.

However, based on total holdings, only 13.0% of Bitcoin is in loss territory due to Strategy’s low average purchase price of $76,052 for its 845,050 BTC holdings, yielding a 0.6% unrealized gain. The top 10 firms by holding size and their performance are listed below.

Strategy (U.S.) holds 845,050 BTC at an average cost of $76,052, reporting a 0.6% gain. If Bitcoin drops another 0.6%, it would fall below their average cost. In contrast, Space X (U.S.), Coinbase (U.S.), Tesla (U.S.), and Next Technology (China) show significant gains.
