Decent Warns of Unusual Asset Transfers in App Wallet, Advises Moving Funds

Decent (DCENT), a virtual asset wallet service, has warned users of unusual asset transfers detected in its app wallet, advising them to move their assets to a safer location.

On the 16th, Decent stated that unusual asset transfers related to the app wallet were detected and an emergency investigation is underway. The company added that initial findings suggest the issue is limited to the app wallet.

Decent strongly recommends moving assets to a secure hardware wallet or a trusted wallet address if users hold funds in the app wallet regardless of amount, or if they use the same mnemonic phrase across both the app and hardware wallets. The service also warns against sending assets to wallet addresses provided via DMs or unofficial channels, clicking links from unverified sources, or following transmission guides not from official channels.

Decent stated that further updates on the cause, scope of impact, and necessary actions will be provided through its official accounts as soon as confirmed.
