DeGod (DeGod) NFT project y00ts founder Frank claims that tokenized real-world asset pairs with meme coins help ease the competitive race where meme coins vie for investor attention. He explained on X, 'Pairing meme coins with specific assets artificially increases scarcity. With limited base assets, it becomes more costly to create new meme coins, and later projects find it harder to push out established ones in a given pair. Conversely, when all meme coins trade against the same asset, competition intensifies as they compete for investor interest.' However, he noted that the key driver behind high meme coin valuations is not token pairs themselves but the rapid growth of mobile apps and social trading—where investors share and reference trading information and strategies. He added, 'As long as apps grow, on-chain markets will expand too. But social trading will inevitably face a bumpy road to maturity.'
