Democrat Senator Angela Ausbrook: CLARITY Act Won't Be Derailed

Democratic Senator Angela Ausbrook stated that the U.S. comprehensive virtual asset (digital asset) bill, the CLARITY Act, will not be stalled.
Ausbrook explained to cryptocurrency media Crypto in America on Thursday (KST), "The CLARITY Act won't be derailed," adding that with over 70 million Americans participating in the digital asset market, there is a responsibility to regulate it.
While Ausbrook, a Democratic senator known for being crypto-friendly among Democrats, has led bipartisan efforts with Republican Senator Tom Tillis on the CLARITY Act's stablecoin interest and reward payment provisions, she cast a vote against cloture on Thursday. Cloture is a procedural step requiring at least 60 votes to end a filibuster and move to a final vote.
The cloture vote failed with 49 in favor and 50 against.
