Deutsche Bank to Launch Bitcoin and Ethereum Custody Services for European Institutional Clients This Year

Deutsche Bank has announced it will launch custody services for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and certain stablecoins for European institutional and corporate clients this year. The bank stated in a press release on the 16th that it plans to begin serving its first customers once regulatory procedures are completed.

The initial supported assets include Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, EURC, and EURAU stablecoins or digital currency tokens. Deutsche Bank will manage wallets and private keys on behalf of clients, supporting storage and transfer of digital assets. Initial target clients include corporations, asset managers, hedge funds, custodian institutions, brokers, and sovereign wealth funds, with plans to expand support for tokenized financial products in the future.
