El Salvador Holds 7,777 Bitcoin After 916 Days of Daily Purchases

El Salvador's government has nearly reached 8,000 Bitcoin holdings. According to Odealye on July 17 (local time), the government's Bitcoin holdings totaled 7,777 coins as of that date, valued at approximately $594 million.

The government's average purchase price for Bitcoin stands at around $55,718. The current unrealized profit is about $16.2 million, representing a gain of roughly 37%.

Following its adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021—the first country to do so—El Salvador has continued government-level Bitcoin purchases. The nation has reportedly been buying one Bitcoin daily for 916 consecutive days.
