Ethereum Glammsterdam Upgrade to Apply on Sepolia Testnet October 6

Ethereum's Glammsterdam upgrade is scheduled to be applied to the Sepolia testnet on October 6. CoinDesk reported that 'fake' block builders using free test ETH could outpace competitors and withhold transaction payloads, potentially stalling the chain. Due to these risks, the review period for Ethereum client teams ahead of Sepolia implementation was shortened to half the usual duration. The Ethereum Foundation's official roadmap also lists the Sepolia fork date as October 6. Earlier, the Ethereum Foundation proposed integrating proposers and builders' roles into the protocol via ePBS and a new builder API flow as part of Glammsterdam's core changes. Additional testing and client compatibility reviews are planned before Sepolia implementation.
