Ethereum 'Glamsterdam' Upgrade Test Run Successful Ahead of October 6th Sepolia Testnet Deployment

Ethereum's next-generation upgrade 'Glamsterdam' successfully completed a devnet-11 rehearsal ahead of its October 6th deployment on the Sepolia testnet, according to CoinDesk. Nethermind client testing results showed the network processed 57.07 billion gas over 3 minutes and 15 seconds, completing all 2,302 tests with an average throughput of approximately 2.9 billion gas per second. Additionally, Glamsterdam adjusted the block gas limit from 60 million to 200 million within about one hour of testnet activation, which allows Ethereum to absorb more activity during high trading volumes or network congestion before users bid higher fees to secure block space.
