Ethereum Institutional Group Supports EIP-8198 to Reduce Block Time from 12s to 10s
The non-profit Ethereum Institutional group has announced its support for EIP-8198, which aims to reduce the Ethereum (ETH) block creation time from approximately 12 seconds to 10 seconds. The proposal follows increased institutional on-chain activity. Ether Labs noted that 20 DeFi founders also back the initiative and are working to include it in the upcoming Hegota upgrade.
