Ethereum Multi-Builder Block Construction (MPBC) Initial Design Released

The Ethereum Research Forum announced on May 27 that it has released the initial design for Multi-Builder Block Construction (MPBC), a system that aggregates transactions from multiple builders into a single block. Post News reported that MPBC expands upon the existing single-builder-centric block construction model by combining transactions from various builders into one block, creating additional inclusion paths for transactions not held or included by individual builders. The forum explained that MPBC builds on top of the highest-bid single builder block by appending non-conflicting transactions from other builders. It also stated that this design can be implemented around operators and builders without requiring any Ethereum protocol changes.
