Ethereum options markets show a tilt toward upward momentum in both medium-term and short-term trends. However, some defensive demand was also observed near expiration dates. According to CoinGlass data as of 10:15 a.m. KST on September 18, Ethereum options open interest (OI) totaled $7.47 billion, up 1.42% from the previous day's $736.58 million. The trading volume for Ethereum options was approximately $1.62 billion.

Open interest composition showed calls at 61.21% and puts at 38.79%. On a 24-hour trading volume basis, calls accounted for 53.68% and puts for 46.32%. The higher call ratio in open interest indicates that medium-term positions are more aligned with an upward direction. Similarly, the dominance of calls in trading volume suggests short-term market sentiment also reflects bullish expectations.

The top contracts by open interest were: 3200 Call (December 25, Deribit), 2200 Call (December 25, Deribit), and 3000 Call (September 25, Deribit). By 24-hour trading volume, the leading contracts were: 2550 Call (September 18, Bybit), 2500 Call (September 18, Bybit), and 2430 Put (September 18, Bybit).
